There are many different recipes for making body butter, but here is a simple recipe that you can try at home:
1/4 cup shea butter
1/4 cup cocoa butter
1/4 cup coconut oil
1/4 cup avocado oil
1/4 cup beeswax
10 drops of essential oils (optional)
In a double boiler, melt the shea butter, cocoa butter, coconut oil, and beeswax until they are fully melted and combined.
Remove the mixture from the heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
Add the avocado oil and essential oils (if using) to the mixture and stir well.
Pour the mixture into a container and let it cool and solidify completely.
Once the lotion has solidified, it is ready to use. Simply scoop out a small amount and massage it into your skin as needed.
Note: If you want to create a whipped body butter, pour the mixture into a bowl, place in the fridge until the mixture starts to solidify a little and whip with a hand mixer until desired texture is achieved. Spoon body butter into containers.
